Enjoyment
The Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 2 is well-made and features a coarsely ribbed, oily wrapper. The pre-light aroma is quite earthy and spicy.
The draw is easy, and the burn after lighting is flawless. The flavor is quite nutty and robust right from the first few puffs. The first third starts off shyly flavourwise then it develops into a creamy smoke. The ash cone is good and ranges from light to steel gray. In the second third, leathery and earthy aromas emerge, rounded off with a hint of vanilla.
This vitola has everything a Cuban cigar enthusiast could want. The smoke, with its dominant character, fills the room with a unique aroma. Towards the end, the ash turns slightly yellowish and deep wood tones appear, giving the whole thing a somewhat toasty taste.
A proper daytime cigar
